Covered Bridges in Spring by Tara Reed for Riley Blake Designs. This collection was inspired by Tara’s love and appreciation of the countryside and weekend adventures with her husband in her home state of Oregon. A picturesque day, after a cold winter, the countryside in Spring blooms with flowers and trees. The sun shines through the hills and reflects to expose the covered bridges on the pathways. Covered bridges are historically known to be pillars of European architectural heritage and this line truly brings out the American essence of past concepts and pioneering lifestyle. Covered bridges were often used for more than just traveling through, but a sentimental heart of a community providing shelter for activities such as concerts, picnics, and other means, also referred to as “kissing” or “wishing” bridges. This collection is filled with nature and landscape scenes, bright and cheerful colors; green, red, and blue blends for Spring, also with neutral colors of browns and whites to reflect countryside-covered bridges.
